Compensating Chucks

EB Manufacturing offers a line of compensating chucks to meet the challenges of holding irregular-shaped workpieces. Both 2-jaw and 3-jaw models are available, in sizes from 6" to 18" in diameter. A 1/8" compensation per jaw is provided.

As one of these chucks grips the part, it compensates for the eccentricity between the I.D. and the O.D. When the part is turned, the chuck centers it and turns the O.D. concentric to the I.D.

Such irregular parts are most often found in the firearms, automotive, aerospace and medical industries, and EB compensating chucks are ideal for use in all of them.
