Compensating Chucks are Regularly Used for Eccentric Workpieces
EB’s
compensating chucks are equipped with a floating jaw mechanism and can hold any eccentric parts. As this type of chuck grips the workpiece, it compensates for the eccentricity between the I.D. and the O.D. When the part is turned, the chuck centers the part and turns the O.D. concentric to the I.D.
Compensating chucks are ideal for all types of workholding applications that incorporate eccentric workpieces, particularly in the firearms, automotive, aerospace and medical industries. EB’s engineering staff would be happy to help you determine the right model to meet your specific workholding requirements.
